Bio

Maryam Salimani is a senior in high school. Through her journey of memorizing the Quran, she has begun to see the Quran and Islam as a source of strength and peace in her life. At Aya 4 U, she hopes to help the girls see Islam through the same lens, and aid them in truly embodying and ameliorating their Islamic practices and values. She aims to accomplish this by mentoring young girls through activities that help them improve their mental and spiritual connection to Allah while encouraging self-growth and discovery. Maryam values compassion, respect and equity—hoping to also encourage these into every community she integrates in.
